Hello! 

I'm Janel, and if you don't already know me, then here is a mini bio that should pretty much cover the basics.

 

I have a passion for film and music. Growing up, I loved making funny and wacky home-made videos/commercials with my siblings. Throughout high school I took as many film, music and photography courses that I could squeeze into my schedule.​ 

 

After graduation, I went to VCC and studied counselling. I enjoyed the classes I took, and learned a lot about myself and others. It wasn't until after graduating post secondary, and after a little bit of travelling that I realized I was missing the creativity I used to have in my life.

In September 2017, I took a 16-week intensive Digital Film Production program at Langara. The course covered just enough of what I was curious in learning about and I found myself happier than ever. It's amazing what collaborating with others who share the same interests and ideas as you can do. I hope to pursue a career in the arts where I can integrate my love for helping others while producing films and continuing to expand my knowledge.

Some hobbies of mine include piano, guitar, hiking, reading, soccer and yoga.
